Quality of Delivery
A global industrial organisation was standardising its Plan-to-Produce processes across its manufacturing network. The first wave had been implemented across sites in the US and Mexico, but the quality of implementation varied significantly, due to differing levels of implementation expertise in each region.
At some sites, production planners and plant teams had engaged in the change journey, understood their new responsibilities and were ready for go‑live. At others, implementation actions remained outstanding, training and survey participation was low and teams lacked confidence in new planning activities and responsibilities.
This resulted in inconsistent adoption across sites. With Germany and the Czech Republic planned for the next wave, the central Process Excellence team wanted to avoid repeating the same pattern. They needed visibility of actions aligned to impacts, what remained outstanding, which audiences were struggling or disengaged, and where adoption was at risk ahead of go‑live.
The programme was already in flight, so Serendata ingested existing project data such as the BPMN, change impacts, audience groups, creating a structured view without restarting work already completed.
Teams could see who was impacted by each process, what those impacts meant for them, and the actions and owners responsible for supporting implementation.
Process Owners gained a global view of outstanding actions, readiness and engagement across audience groups, and where process adoption and conformance were at risk, ahead of go‑live.
Serendata enabled the organisation to:
- Establish a consistent standard for delivery across regions
- Measure and compare readiness on a like-for-like basis
- Track completion and ownership of delivery actions
- Improve the consistency and accuracy of regional reporting
- Identify genuine problem areas earlier
- Focus additional support on regions and audiences that needed it most
- Give Process Owners greater confidence in go-live readiness
The central team entered go-live with a consistent view of delivery and readiness across regions, greater confidence in the accuracy of reporting, and a clearer understanding of where additional support was required.
